According to new predictions from Bloomberg New Energy Finance, solar power is going to be the wallet-friendly option as soon as 2013.

I hope they’re right in their projections, but have a sneaking suspicion this will be the case mostly in China, where they’ve invested considerable national resources on advancing (and owning) the technology. Given the prices of traditional (non-coal) energy, however, it’s not hard to project other resource prices coming up to solar, even if solar isn’t dropping down to coal-level prices.
