Taken in Grand Park last Friday night after a Zocalo event. The park, which has undergone a massive facelift and fully opens next month, is such a nice urban oasis. I look forward to seeing what it’s like when the entire four-block length is completed.
Zocalo is conducting a number of Friday-night events that are pretty interesting. Last week’s event featured the directors of the Getty Museum, LACMA and the Hammer. Really interesting stuff in a lovely atmosphere, at least as long as the weather stays pleasant at night. For those interested, go to zocalopublicsquare.org (yes, they freely acknowledge that really, their name translates as “publicsquarepublicsquare”).
